Tomb
Tomb of Khayyam
Neyshabur، Iran
Khayyam's tomb in a garden beside the Emamzadeh Mahruq: an open lattice whose shadow writes quatrains on the ground.
36.1789, 58.8083
History
Built in 1963 by Hooshang Seyhoun: ten concrete blades meeting overhead with turquoise tile between them — a design that takes Khayyam the mathematician seriously.
